Now it is eight o'clock in the evening and all the family are sitting in the front room. Mother is sewing and Mary is knitting; she is using big wooden knitting needles ti knit a pullover. Mr Wood is sitting in his armchair stirring his tea; he tastes it and says, "Ugh! What's in this tea, sugar or soap?"

Ara son les vuit del vespre i la família esta sentada a l'habitació del davant. La mare esta cosint i Mary esta fent mitja; ella esta utilitzant agulles grans de fusta per texir un jersei.
